QuadPhoto earns Award of Excellence

The QuadPhoto image generated by our Saratoga Springs studio for the Shire Pharmaceutical Company received an Award of Excellence at the 2002 Rx Club Awards. The Rx Club Awards are the pharmaceutical/medical/healthcare industry's annual premier awards show and the highest recognition in the field of advertising, marketing and design. The photo featured a fluffy pillow on several different stools (from wood to elaborate modern art designs) promoting the stool softener Colace for the drug's "Everyone is Different" ad campaign, led by Palio Communications. Palio, a Saratoga Springs-based ad agency, entered the Quad image in the annual awards contest. "The first challenge was to locate 20 different and interesting stools," said Mark Kozlowski, QuadPhoto photographer. Dan Shay, also a photographer, added, "Then we had to light and photograph each stool so it could be digitally manipulated to insert a pillow on top." For our employees' efforts, QuadPhoto has earned the designation as Palio's photographer of choice.
